KeraSoft^®3 is a 'World's First' breakthrough product, a Silicone Hydrogel contact lens for Keratoconus.

KeraSoft^®3 is a soft lens alternative for fitting keratoconic and post graft corneae. Its unique front surface prismatic toric design reliably corrects high levels of astigmatism (up to 11.00DC) and also masks corneal distortion.

Although mainly used for mild to moderate keratoconus, it can be a real problem solver for those with more advanced keratoconus who cannot tolerate other contact lenses. It can be very useful where the cone apex is severely displaced – especially very low.

It is produced in a naturally hydrophilic Silicone Hydrogel material which delivers greater comfort and longer wearing times than conventional soft lens materials.

KeraSoft^®3 lenses are manufactured using UltraVision’s unique Wavefront Technology which reduces the effects of higher order aberrations.

Our new Silicone Hydrogel material is highly water retentive, resulting in a more slippery surface. When removing these soft lenses from the eye some wearers prefer to use the usual "pinch off" method as for normal soft contact lenses and others prefer an alternative removal approach which is to apply lid pressure from the top and bottom, using the same method as that for the removal of an RGP lens.
